With One Step

“Finding the strength that lives deep down inside of you”

He stood looking out from the shadows of his soul.

The skyline of his life rose high above him.

A sudden wash of   memories

A fleeting glimpse into the past

An air of the unknown drifting into his future.

A spirit still alive, yet lying dormant deep, deep, down inside.

An unrelenting feeling that time had drawn a line in the sand.

Step over, or stand fast

Think it through, or act with an undaunting faith within.

To stay in the shadows,

Or move into the light and face the uncertain certainty.

Courage or cowardice

And in a single moment

With a single step

A new destiny is set in motion

A beginning with its roots in the spirit of life itself

And in that instance, that single moment in time

There was only the warm wash of light,
