Blowing Snow

Blowing Snow

A Poem by Bull Dog

Snow blows in the freezing night

Freezing everything far and near

Staring into the night sky

Waiting for the snow to clear

I’m trapped in my little cabin

Roads are closed to the town below

High here on the mountain, I’m all alone

Waiting for this night of doom to go

Listening to the blowing snow

I fall asleep by the crackling fire

I awake to the morning sun

And all doesn’t seem so dire

Sky has cleared, but drifts of snow

Are piled all around the door

It won’t be long till roads are cleared

I will head down to the country store
