Splendor

Splendor

A Poem by JC
"

written for the Poem a Quote

"

Lay me down in the tall, sweet grass

The hour is ours to take

I long to feel your lips pressed against mine

and feel the warmth of the embrace

As the grass ripples with the spring breeze

scents and sounds mingle and float above

We are lost in this moment, lost to time

and lost to the world that is around

May we remember a day as perfect as this

when the world is cruel and unkind

May we remember the splendor of the grass

The splendor that is you and I

Hi JC,

"We are lost in this moment, lost to time"

This piece is nice, really nice ,and so romantic. For some reason, I think that time holds on to events of love and keeps them forever, like a treasure, for future generations to discover along a time line leading into infinity.
