Queen of the Mop Bucket

Queen of the Mop Bucket

A Poem by JC
"

For all the under appreciated Moms out there

"

I'm the Queen of the mop bucket,

the dustpan and broom

I'm the Queen of this Castle

and of every room

I'm the Queen of the soap

and the daily wash

I'm the Queen of the sniffles

and every single cough

I'm Queen of the Oven

and if thats not enough

I'm the Queen of the bills

and all that paper stuff

I'm the Queen of all of you,

including the one with the fur

I'm Queen of it all

and I demand to be heard

I'm the Queen of the paper hearts

and the kisses and hugs

I'm the Queen of notes

and gifts and thank you cards

I'm the Queen of this Kingdom

and all that it has to offer

I 'm the Queen today

and I'll still be Queen tomorrow

Kudos to you for writing this piece! As a mom I can certainly relate! Great job. You should definitely submit this next Mother's Day in a publication or contest.

Watch out Leona Helmsly...oh she's gone! Ha! I hear you...I too am queen of everything! It's a demanding job but someone has to do it! Guys, have a heart! I liked this poem...it says what I live so well...but I think I have more on you there..lol. Hmmm...want my job? Good lord...I'm joking! I wouldn't do my life to anyone but an enemy...yep..true. Again, I like this one. Take care of your kingdom.

She's the Queen all right. let's hope it's not about Queen Elizabeth though.

This is great! It actually made me laugh outloud and poems seldom do this for me! According to your poem, I've been a queen for a long, long time! But I thought queen's got to have maid's and butler's and foot men! If I'd known I wasn't going to get those, I don't know if I would have put on this crown! LOL This goes in my favorites! Barbara

Jc--this is well written.. the queen.. there is something
metaphorical about this writing.. its sentimentaland humorous
at the same time..very vivid..and descriptively explainatory
Nice Job.
