BloodLustA Poem by Julio Cesar RuizA lot has been happening in the last few months and now the Dragon is waging a war against a Snake.Genius is often mistaken for arrogance, Ignorance is confused for intelligence, Those who know the truth, Their word much is worth, Yet the ignorant can deny, Almost everything that comes to eye, Even when shown proof that the Snake lies, Denial is quick to fill their eyes, For I see it in their hearts, And it slowly drives us apart, For it saddens me to see, That honor, courage, and loyalty, Have all been forgotten. Now I stand alone before the Snake, But I will not bow nor break, Gain what I will, Lose what I must, This war between Dragon and Snake, Will end with Bloodlust… © 2010 Julio Cesar RuizAuthor's Note
