Elusive Truth

Elusive Truth

A Poem by Julio Cesar Ruiz
"

This poem is about a personal question that I've had for as long as I can remember that has yet to be answered.

"

It happened again just like before,

I walked away from the one I adore,

my head was hung down in shame,

and now like before its the same,

I'm left searching for answers yet I have none,

and the truth eludes me after all I've done,

"Why?" this question still burns,

calling to me and like hunger it yearns,

to be answered once and for all,

yet I stand here starring at the wall,

of obscurity and deciet wondering when,

all of this will finally come to an end,

alas only one knows the truth,

and to me only one thing is worth,

more than that that I wish to know,

but that's beside the point so lets go,

back to where we were and why,

it is that the truth they deny,

for it could finally put an end,

to all my pain and sorrow and then,

I might be able to see what is truly,

meant to be an maybe also see,

if I truly am meant to stay in misery,

or finally find that which makes me happy.
