JourneyA Poem by J. C. KochAll winter, recumbent, still Longing to leave, to go To take to my feet I wanting to walk, and so I stepped onto the road In the first warm days of spring And the wind came along Sweeping me onto its wing Then the world began to spin And my eyes began to close I let the winds take me Onto places nobody knows I trusted the wind completely And I trusted in its flow All the was left was wonder At the places i might go And when again I saw The land all around me I realized before that day I could never really see © 2011 J.
