For

For

A Poem by J. C. Koch

For the ones who are broken and falling

For anyone whose gone to bed bawling

For the person whose hurt and or dying

For every person who has to hide their crying

Know you’re not alone

For anyone from whom a life’s been taken

For whoever wishes to sleep and not awaken

For the cutters and the bleeding

For the ones where life’s been misleading

Know you aren’t on your own

For the strays, the lost, the lonely

For anyone who thinks of darkness only

For him, for her, for me, and for you

I want you to know this is true

You can do more than you’ve ever known

So all I’m saying is reach out

Find someone you don’t know much about

And what you see, look behind

You never know the friends you might find

Excellent :) We truly can do more than we realise! A simple word sometimes can make a world of difference! Something so simple! :) Beautifully told love, I love this!

Pros: Mmm, this poem drew me in because I connect to it on many levels. Broken, going to sleep crying, hurting, hiding my tears, losing people, wanting to die, cutting, all of that has been or is me. But this poem gives all those like me out there hope because you point out that, though we feel alone, we aren't. We have others who understand, all we need to do is reach out. Although, that's the hard part.

Cons: None.

Overall: I really like this poem. I connect to it, and that makes it special.
