4th and the Sea

4th and the Sea

A Poem by J. C. Koch
"

Found this picture in my think tank, inspired this poem. Well, the picture and a deep seated feeling of being stagnant in life.

"

At the corner of fourth and the sea

If you look, thats where you’ll find me

I’ll be waiting there, just getting my feet wet

Waiting for a moment that hasn’t happened yet

Maybe I’m waiting for some dark stranger

To whisk me away to adventure and danger

Maybe I’m waiting for a chaotic storm

To roll in and blow away norm

Maybe I’m simply being dumb

Waiting for something that’ll never come

Maybe I’m just waiting for the world to end

Maybe I’m waiting for you, my friend

All I know is that I’m waiting here

Watching raindrops fall like tears

Waiting at the corner of fourth and the sea

If you’re looking, thats where you can find me

Oh the writing that monotony breeds. I really like this, it captures the feeling when your just wandering around thinking "what's next?". Very nice.

Very cool. Nice flow. I'm waiting for something, too. Wish knew what it was.
Cheers!
