Truth and LieA Poem by J. C. KochI speak to the mirror And he speaks back to me Am I crazy? He is just me! We all have our lies, Some Big Some Small And I am yours Was he the truth, My whole life a lie Or was he a lie In his basic nature I know you ponder The whole of you Is present in me I am truth and lie Was he really me? Was this pompous smile What the others saw Was it me? Was it really? Your face says it all You hate me I am your truth I am your lie I smashed the mirror My hand began to bleed Baptized in blood I began a Life in truth © 2010 J. C. KochReviews
