Acids

Acids

A Poem by J. C. Koch
"

I wrote this for you (you know who you are)

"

To the world I’m acidic

Melting away all but you

And you, little angel girl

You might be acidic too.

But that doesn’t mean anything

Because we’re always there

And to us, your friends

You’re no mare acidic than air

Please don’t hide away

And lockup your smile

Because even if you’re acid

You make the burning worthwhile

Take it from me, an acid

A 0 on the pH scale

Locking yourself away

Comes to no avail

About
I write when I can, not because I want to, because I need to. I was introduced to poetry in 3rd grade, and I've been in love with it ever since. My dream is to get published, I'm working on that as yo.. more..
