Food for WormsA Poem by J. C. KochJust something I wrote while watching Dead Poets Society
We are all the food of worms
Soon to be one with the dirt Our lives are far too short To linger on past hurt One day we'll be underground Lying next to the kings of old So now I pose this quest to you Carpe Diem before you grow cold Today, while we are strong, While our blood is still warm We must seize the day Fight back, shatter the norm Live so that when they put you Six feet deep in the ground It is only with a sigh And not a single tear to be found
