Left

Left

A Poem by J. C. Koch

My concentration is shot
My hand trembles and shakes
As I relearn to write

Sure its stupid and futile
But I need something, anything
To stem the confusion

So now I write with the other
My left hand, the weaker one
It grows stronger everyday

Self improvement is masturbation
And I work at it every day
So now I guess I'm switch hitting.

When I was younger I used to say that I was ambidextrous. I was such a little liar. This reminds me of that time in my young life. I like this.

Made me nostalgic.

Sometime it is good to be a switch hitter. In baseball give you twice the chance. A excellent poem. Made me smile this morning.

I write when I can, not because I want to, because I need to. I was introduced to poetry in 3rd grade, and I've been in love with it ever since. My dream is to get published, I'm working on that as yo.. more..
