Haikus and Cinquains

Haikus and Cinquains

A Poem by J. C. Koch
"

Short poems tonight...

"
Flower petals droop
On the breath of the North Wind
Wilting in the chill

Wolves
Swift, Deadly
Hunting, Tracking, Howling
The Couriers of Death
Bloodthirsty

Roses
Beautiful, Dangerous
Attracting, Bewitching, Piercing
So deadly yet alluring
Fatal

Hundreds of pages
Hundreds of thousands of words
Inhabit my shelf
