Nowhere Bound

Nowhere Bound

A Poem by J. C. Koch

A feather in the wind
a step on the ground
no place in mind
I'm nowhere bound

Walking towards nothing
No axes to grind
A trip with no reason
I wonder what I'll find

Small treasures of the world
lying in wait
take a walk down the street
they don't mind if your late

I chuckle at destination
the trip is what counts
passionate eyes and a wandering soul
my feet lead with no doubts

I watch people come
I watch places go
roads like rivers
but I’m not slave to the flow

I've wandered about
I know more than I've known
I take my last step
and find myself home

I like this! I'm one of those people who wanders aimlessly and just lets things happen, and am happy with the outcome. Interesting; not too many people could think of such intriguing subject matter.
Good job! (:
