If only I could

You can take what I give you,

Its all that I've got.

So, if you want something more

You want what I'm not.

My cards are on the table,

I'll let everyone see.

You can have all of me!

And if you say yes,

Every night I will pray,

That with you forever,

In your arms I may stay.

And if you say no,

I'll simply walk away

Pick a different road

and walk the other way.

Not sure who you wrote this to but they are very lucky! This is ALL I've wanted the man I'm in love with to give to me (but no dice). What a simple, beautiful poem. Brings a tear to my eye. Thanks for sharing!

overall, its written very well.. has a nice flow. I think "in your arms i may stay" could be re worded to flow a little smoother but thats just a thought...i really enjoyed reading this, and so i'll say
