And here we are. 

We spent our days 
Dreaming and planning, 
And shot for the moon. 
But we fell short, 
And now lay among the stars. 

And here we are. 

We attempted to break the mold, 
Be the best of all, 
The only ones in the spotlight, 
And though we may have failed, 
We raised the bar. 

And here we are. 

We were broken, 
Tired, and fatigued. 
The journey was long, 
Though we never made it there, 
We made it pretty far. 

And here we are. 

We are right here, 
Right now. 
I'd never go back, 
Because I'm here with you, 
And that's the best by far.
