Nightmare Before ChristmasA Poem by J. C. KochNote, this wasn't my idea, it was Tim Burton's, this is just my interpretation. The rag-doll girl leapt from her prison, Scent of nightshade in the evening air. She was bound for the dark tower Where the skeleton toiled in despair. She pained for him and his dream She’d seen the whole thing in flame. She was the only one who knew It could never be the same. Still, she toiled towards his dream Dutifully doing the job she’d been given. Helping out the mad skeleton, By love for him, she was solely driven. But she feared for the skeleton’s fate And hoped her vision wouldn’t come true. She knew the outcome would be grim, If with this dream, he followed through So she called up a fog in the dark night In an attempt to stop his wild endeavor. She really loved him with all her heart She only wished to be his forever. He continued with his mad flight, His greed to fill a twisted obsession It made him far too blind and dim To see the heart that was in his possession And when he failed and fell from the sky The rag-doll girl faced the evil incarnate To save the skeleton she loved To try and set this whole twisted plot straight. Now that you’ve heard twisted tale of love for two, I think its clear for anyone out there to see The little rag-doll girl and the king of Halloween Together forever, they were simply meant to be © 2010 J.
