What A Mess We Have MadeA Poem by Kelli AprilRelationships can be messy.
Your life is a mess
So you grab the broom To sweep away stress From room to room The stress remains So you try another way Dusting window panes Til they are shining Away The stress still lingers So I get some fresh air While twirling my fingers Whispering “life isn’t fair” Is there more to life Or am I stuck here for good I’d make a great wife I know that I would The future is near So figure s**t out Go grab a beer You’re too old to pout You have to stay strong It’ll all be okay Admit when you’re wrong Or just walk away Don’t act like you’re fine When really you’re not You’re supposed to be mine You’re all I’ve got The pain of missing you Tears me apart I know you feel it too The hole in your heart Let’s fill it then That big empty hole Just tell me when I can heal your soul But what about mine My soul aches as well I just need a sign Or the ding of a bell Anything will do Just stay here please See me begging you Down on my knees? Help me untangle this mess Before it’s too late This is the final test I can no longer wait. © 2018 Kelli AprilReviews
