Blanket of Snow

Blanket of Snow

A Poem by Kelli April
"

My first try with a Haiku poem. Not sure if it is right but it was fun to try !

"
The first snowflake fell
Giving way to another
Until one is all.

So true! Well said. One flake becomes a massive blanket, and oh so we all hope will go away soon enough!

So much said in so few words.

You possess the magic of painterly expression ...

A lovely poetic moment, bravo!

I absolutely love this poetry format - and - for a first effort - you have done a 'first class' job! Clever use of imagery (one snowflake to a blanket cover)! Very nice … :-)

Though mostly ignorant in the ways of poetry, I know when I like something, and I like this. So many poems I see don't tell me anything worthwhile, but not so with this one. There's a portrait of the snow's beauty, but more importantly, a message about unity and inclusiveness. E Pluribus Unim--out of many, one.
