Comparing myself to a CharacterA Story by Kelli AprilJust another writing prompt from, but this one is from my first Composition class."'It's Levi-OOOOH-sa not LevioSAR.' She's a nightmare, honestly. It's no wonder she hasn't got any friends!" - Ron Weasley For starters, I have been Hermione Granger my entire life. Well, sort of. I don't consider myself a know-it-all or a book worm. I do, however, talk a fair amount (coughs nonchalantly) more than the average person. For this reason alone, most people find me quite annoying. Being weird, goofy, and awkward on top of that, is why I can relate to my opening quote by Ronald Weasley. Alas, like Hermione, I (try) not to let what others say and/or think get under my skin. When the Harry Potter series made it's debut, I was in 7th grade. I had spent the previous 4 years attending a Catholic school. As if being smacked by the onset of puberty wasn't enough, I had to jump from a class of 20 to a class of 200! Luckily for me, only days into 7th grade, I decided to read J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. Quickly identifying with the characters, these books became a much needed escape from reality. I would definitely say these books helped me through a difficult time in my life. No, I didn't run around with a cape or a broom playing Quidditch. And I surely didn't wave a wand reciting spells............ © 2018 Kelli AprilReviews
