Walk away

Walk away

A Poem by Kelli April
"

A poem about taking control and leaving the one who is causing you pain.

"
He says he loves you,
But it’s a lie,
So that’s your cue,
To say goodbye.

His love was once,
Your only need,
‘Til he ripped it from you,
To watch you bleed.

The blood runs out,
Day after day,
“Please just end it,”
Are words you pray.

Your heart can’t take,
Much more than this,
You feel the hate,
With every kiss.

A kiss from him,
Is like a kiss of death,
The pain gets worse,
With every breath.

The only way,
To be free of the pain,
Is to stop this nonsense,
And use your brain.

You’re smarter than this,
I know it’s true,
So it’s time to stand up,
And take care of you.

we can talk ourselves to death about being smart with love...but the heart just dives in head first or rather heart first...

Such wise words. When we fall in love, we may not know what’s going where, that’s for sure!
