You Never Know

You Never Know

A Poem by Kelli April
"

A poem about not really knowing the answer to anything, ever.

"
How do you know,
what's worse than death,
'til the time comes,
to take that last breath?

How do you know,
who's lying or what's true,
when even family,
has lied to you, too?

How do you know,
which path to take,
if every single one,
has led to heartache?

How will you know,
when love is "true",
unless you open your heart,
and let love find you?

How do you know,
if everyone can tell,
how hard you're trying,
at becoming well?

How do you know,
the answers to all,
without a life-line,
or friend to call?

The answers to all,
will never be known,
if all answers pursued,
are done so, alone.

I chuckled at your poem, not because its funny but because your correct. I think the fun and joy from life comes from not knowing the outcomes of our situations. We never stop learning and we're never too old for a lesson. To me, this makes life fascinating because there's always something to get into. Awesome poem and keep going!
