Winds Carry

Winds Carry

A Poem by J.
"

Are you even listening?

"
Like a whisper
Screaming loudly
Like a silent thunder
Upon deafened ears

Misconstrued words
From your own perception
Or did you hear a lie?
From an unreliable source

I have dealt and left them behind me
Let them talk sooth saying stories
Spilled from a drunken w***e
I have a life to live, not a conviction to face

From those who are the criminal
What is it you fail to tell me?
Why is your silence so deafening?
I did you no wrong

Yet you make me feel like I am
For a mysterious charge unknown
And does the wind visit you?
Or has the weather become stagnant?

What realm do we reside
When all I scream is unheard
Now I leave you to your 'happiness'
And beg you never again

Reach out to me now or in the end
