Visionary Illusion

Visionary Illusion

A Poem by J.
"

Someone in love with another unaware, and that love takes that person to the many possibilities of their mind.

"
Rain pounding
The beat of her heart
Takes over the faint ticking
Of the clock

Staring out from the dripping
Cold glass with condensation
Of the foyer window
She drifts to another side

A parallel equivalent
To her 3D residual
Which goes unnoticed
Completely oblivious

Glazed in profound thought
Her mind knows no boundaries
As her hand reaches up
To touch the reflection

On the other side
While his hand meets hers
In unison, they smile
Something rises within

Their breath, a repeated fog
On the glass between them
Barely audible
Two hearts rhythmic, as one

Dim, their eyes close
To meet one another
In a soft whisper
With no words

Forgetting all that was
Only lost in what is
With no limits abound
To subdue

Forsaken they become
From a world near devoid of love
All she once knew
Will never again lay eyes upon her
