Tepid

Tepid

A Poem by J.
"

The way one can become, after so much heartache. A heartache that keeps the heart from mending.

"

Seemingly seeping from every orifice
A grueling journey, tortuous

To the ultimate core
Bruised and shattered, on the floor

Forsaken soul driven
To madness and anger
Beaten beyond azure
Minor flaws unforgiven

Gut wrenching, internal ache
Tremor the soul to shake
Toward a state of sickness
Unmatched by any witness

Brought to a calm
Prior to detonating it's bomb
A torrential, vicious storm
Brewing madly darkness to form

Anticipated eruption
Finding an easy assumption
No one can escape
The truth that shall reshape

Brewing on the surface
This alarming stillness
Beseeching refuge
Find swift winds
Destroy this deluge

Unfair not to remember
Who or what one is
And to pay for immortal sins
That find no true justice

I am not even sure this one has an ending. I could have went on and on with this one.

wow, J, such heartache doesn't desrve the best of people, you've managed
to turn your pain into artwork, BRAVO. now I shall stop right here and read
again. this hits the reader as impressionistic, and the internal core is pain.
pain beyond reason, i'd love to know the book behind this poem.
the wording is phenomonal in the way you just run with it.

there is true pain here, it jumps off the page, and yes, you probably could have gone on, but hopefully it numbs a bit over time (isn't that what they always say) there is a bit of truth in that, however, it never truly goes away
