Something I was feeling at the time. More like many things all in one.

It takes one small thing
To finally see how it is
Life is too damn short to give a s**t
Let alone take s**t
Punch it in the face, and take back the reins
Go where the wind takes you
Or pushes you
Come what may
Either accept what you have
And deal with it
Or aim to grasp something better
Choice is ours
No matter the surface
Look even deeper
It beckons you
I know not everything
But I know enough
The dreams and thoughts within me
Are too complex for the average man
So why bother when they will never listen?
Walk away
Yes! Turn away and let them speak to themself
It will hit 'em hard in the end
But that is the price they gotta pay, right?
Learn and live to fight another day
Or live and learn you are screwed

When I call out to you
Do you hear me?
Or are my screams too deafening?
Happiness without you is like wallowing in muddy s**t
So now what?
Do I wait for a dream
Or look forward to the dream come true?
Hope for a better tomorrow
Warmth from the cold
That bites relentlessly at this ever tortured spirit within
Clawing my way to the top
Of the steepest incline ever known
Ready to leave all of this behind
Just to have something new that is better
