A Poem by J.
"

Drowning, trapped, buried, or lost. However defined, For me, this is pretty simple in describing the within and without.

"
These eyes cannot see
The atrocities before me
These ears cannot hear, the lies
That are constantly spoken to the winds of the skies
These lips cannot speak out
Not even a whisper to shout
These hands cannot prepare for battle to begin
And snuff out and beat those lying teeth in
This body wears not a scar, or neutral black
To reveal all the pain, sorrow, heartaches that attack
This heart feels not a single blow taken
From those who fear the thought to awaken
From the disgusting lies and s**t that cause it all
This soul has not taken a fall
Never shivered or stirred in the midst of the allegory
Never once thought to jump free from Hell and Purgatory
No, this being cannot feel a motherfuckin' thing endured
Save the aforementioned, while my sight is blurred
From the encasement I feel myself try
To beat apart and free myself, from I pry!
Maybe we cannot do this alone forever
I do know this, we can do this together
Escape from this agony
That feels like forever, just nagging thee

Author's Note

J.
Untitled as of yet. A friend, Ashar Aziz was kind enough to comment his views on this one. Dark, to sum it all up. And I thank him for his insight. The image used I named "Distortion", is an actual painting by myself, using Acrylic paint and a live female body as both a medium and brush vessel.
