The Beginning

The Beginning

A Poem by James Probert

I keep swearing to myself
That my hope is staying low
But every time we're texting
I can feel my heart aglow
I'm not sure of my standing
In your crazy awesome life
But I hope that maybe someday
I'll be someone that you like

It's the beginning
Of what I do not know
But it's exciting
Can't wait to take this road
You're incredible, adorable
A woman that I love
The more I talk to you I know
You'd fit me like a glove

By chance I got to meet you
And by chance I got to see
A smile that truly warmed my heart
Heard a laugh that pulled it's strings
By chance I met you two more times
And now we're on this course
I don't know where it's going
But I'm glad you've come ashore
