Scream and HideA Poem by James ProbertWritten after a night of deep and dark thoughts. I know I'm not the only person who feels this way.
Every day we fight the fight
To make it through another night And keep our sorrows to ourselves So no one knows we're trapped in hell We fake a smile, laugh out loud Pretend that we are in the crowd But really we are all alone With no one here to give us hope I'm dying here but no one knows And I can't let the feelings show 'Cause if you knew of what's inside You'd run from me, you'd scream and hide There's solace in the saddest songs But that can only last so long Before the dark comes crawling back And peace we knew just fades to black We cry for help, but not out loud For you deserve the safe and sound And if you knew of what's inside You'd run from me, you'd scream and hide © 2021 James ProbertFeatured Review
