Get Me Through

Get Me Through

A Poem by James Probert

If I burn in hell forever
Your lies would still hurt worse.
Every thought I have about you
Is a never ending curse.
I wish I could forget you
But you never go away.
Even if I died tomorrow
The pain you caused will stay.

You drive me f*****g crazy
Have me straight up the wall.
You've got me f*****g hoping
That the both of us will fall.
I thought that I could fix you
But now I'm not so sure.
I thought this would be easy
But I'm not the f*****g cure.

Even the coldest of winter
Isn't frozen like your heart
Every thing I loved about you
Has been hidden in the dark.
I wanted us together
But you drove our souls apart.
I thought that you had loved me
But I never got your heart.

You made me f*****g love you
Like an idiot I fell.
And ever since I met you
You've been dragging me through hell.
You made me f*****g hate you
But I love you just the same
My thoughts are so conflicted
And I'm tired of this game.

Even the most venomous of snakes
Couldn't poison me like you.
Of all the hits I've taken
All of yours have landed true.
I'm not sure how I'll get through this
But somehow I always do.
Someone will come along
And cure me of your flu.
