Not Good EnoughA Poem by James ProbertInspired by recent heartache.
I tried to do
The best I could; To give you what you need. How off was I? Please tell me why You want to watch me bleed. Though I was here It's as I feared; You didn't want me 'round. And now I'm sad, The world is glad. I cannot find the ground. I'm not good enough, Not strong enough, To be the man you want. I'm not smart enough, Not far enough, And now I wish I'm gone. Someday maybe The world will see, That I am not so bad. But until then I'm dead again. My broken heart's been had. © 2016 James Probert |
