Lemonade High

Lemonade High

A Poem by James Probert
"

Little comedy poem I wrote. Asked friends to give me ideas and it spawned this. :D

"
Lemonade.
It's sour but sweet.
The more sour it is
The better the treat.
In the hottest of weather
I drink and I drink.
With way too much sugar
My mind's on the brink.

I just saw a homeless man
Riding a llama.
He was wearing some clothes that
He stole from yo' mama.
I take another swig and
My mind is set free.
My best friend's a squirrel
Who's much bigger than me.

I'm tripping on acid
(And over a frog.)
I cannot believe this
Lemonade is so strong.
The sun is a bubble;
The stars have all popped.
The world is a rainbow
And the Skittles have dropped.

I'm drowning in sugar.
Sweat pours down my back.
This lemonade high has
Got me so damn whack.
A butterfly just flew down
And ripped off my shoes.
I tried to run away but
My feet turned to goo!

My fingers are sausage
My hair is spaghetti.
My kneecaps are bowls
And my freckles confetti.
I do not know how and
F**k if I know when.
But my eyeballs have
Ran away with my head.
