Pen and paper

Greatly inspired by Maya Angelou. :)

Pen and paper suffice,
My thoughts splayed across them tonight.

Banging, crashing, jumbled words,
Shocking, exciting, like electric cords.

My words scatter across the paper,
All along knowing my mind would release sooner or later.

Wishes, fantasies, future possibilities,
On pen and paper, become graceful memories.

Unwillingly I cannot verbalize,
Changes occur on this pen and paper; don't chastise.

My thoughts become scribbles and scratches,
The confines of my mind become elastic.

Pen and paper suffice,
My hand guides the movement; mind full of delight.

This wasn't as difficult as once thought,
Words of love, confessions and memories found because I sought.

My thoughts on paper, my pen out of ink,
My writes become the story of my life and the missing link.

Loved it! You really get the point across that writing is such an amazing outlet to release whatever you're feeling and that, sometimes, words come out you didn't even know you had in you. Clever and had a great flow. Awesome :)

A rather interesting poem. I really like you how you used your imagery to convey the message your trying to present. This is a good poem, and I don't see how I would improve it. I feel like it flows smoothly, and the structure is easy to follow.
