Just one more....A Poem by Rose Masen
One more glass; no harm done,
One less issue to deal with soon enough. The pouring liquid allows the dew to rise, The glass is now full; I smile in anticipation. Each sip taken in, each memory taken out, I feel the urge to sway, not scream or shout. The wine is velvet; easily consumed, Society understand? I wrongfully assumed. I adore the effects that wash over me, I sway and I giggle, again I feel free. Drinking, I know, is not a way out, Living life fully- that's what it's about. I enjoy the embrace the buzz now offers, Taking it away is wrong, please, don't bother. Confident and sexy; quiet and at ease, The contents in the flute know I'm easy to please. Hell, give me one more there's nothing I want to remember, Don't judge my ways, are yours that much better? It makes me feel sexy; I sway my hips, While licking the rim; getting every last drip. This is my once-in-a-while escape, If this is the worst that I've done, than I've made no mistake. So fill me up, until it pours over the brim, I'll sway and I'll laugh as the memories silently dim. © 2011 Rose MasenAuthor's Note
