![]() Heart RacingA Poem by Rose Masen![]() ...Heart racing, feet pacing, adrenaline rushing,Luke warm, flowing blood in my veins...![]() Heart racing, feet pacing, adrenaline rushing,
Luke warm, flowing blood in my veins, gushing. Emotions failing, but anger building in response, My entire being persuaded into shock at my nonchalance. Thoughts are thoughtless; tears become a distant memory, Fear of shutting down completely washes through me thoroughly. Lights flashing violently within me, what is this? My life, engraved coldly on a plateau, without description. Hopeless and helpless, should I be concerned? Consciously I know I should make thee attempt, as I wither away; memories burned. A strained grin, rocks me to the core, as these moments, crushing me, deliver painful blows, I’m suffering, deliberately, in excruciating agony, why am I not being helped? Is it because no one knows? Slow motion. My world moving in a blur, like a dancer still gracefully moving with no energy, I am not as graceful, as my mind is cluttered, thoughts clashing into one another, is this how you will remember me? © 2011 Rose MasenAuthor's Note
