Alone

Alone

A Poem by Rose Masen
"

...

"

Even being surrounded by people and noise

you still feel alone.

Conversations of types of coffee and work related issues

in many different tones.

Walking past smiles and lover's

a reminder of the emptiness.

You have so much to say, so much to share

but not a soul with enough friendliness.

Billions of people, different thoughts, different stories

you wallow in pity, they bask in their life's glories.

The day goes by like a slow motion scene

suffering in silence as your insides scream.

Alone, surrounded by all ages and new birth,

only to realize I'm but a small blip on this planet called earth.

Awww I understand your sentiment Rose...I would offer critique but this is an emotion that I've felt and in sure many others...I enjoyed the emotions you felt and conveying that in words...nicely done. :)
