Tuesdays Poem

Tuesdays Poem

A Poem by Jrocktothebeat
"

Something I wrote a little earlier in the year. I meant to share it sooner, but it ended up becoming a song with the band and I never got around to it.

"
Snatch the rope and kick it down, I've shown them what I got.
Tuesdays poems coming up and everythings begun to rot.
You said you'd be a hero.
Man, you said you'd understand.
Now this unsung angels standin' tall a better man.

Like a spineless serpent, come to haunt my dreams.
Lit with kerosene, leave the match to scream.
Now it seems so certain, the source of misery.
Grasping to a future, trigger finger I squeeze.

With one in the chamber, won't have to see your face again.

Sit down and spit it out, you think I give a s**t?
Three days it's taken down and still you wear that grin.
I hope you've got a blanket man.
I hope your f*****g warm.
Cause now this unsung angels gonna feed ya who you are.
