A Game With Shame

A Game With Shame

A Poem by J.J.Wray

A game with shame

Mothering instinct, lewd and wane
A life I wish, I never attain

A game with shame, a synthetic moan
An old face recalled, yet never known

With cultures and dreams, plenty abound
My little angels stocked, in shameful mounds

Tongues work hard where joys cannot grow
By awful wet hands, my heart a tow

All eggs and seeds that are ever created
Are poor sickly futures, ultimately wasted

Luscious stories of prevalent romance
Yet no one with whom, I have to dance

Rebecca a name, only in my mind
As a soul to converse, I shall never find

With a game of shame, deep in the night

Is how I ever dwell, however in plight

Great poem J. :) "An old face recalled, yet never known" brilliant line. I can find myself between your words.
