TODAY...should be ashamed

Young masterpieces in the making...

super novas ,soldiers and savants. 
Oscars,Golden Globes.
Nobels,Laureates,Pulitzers and Heismans.
champions and heros.
creators...

beyond barrier breakers...

and bar raisers.

 

the masterpieces will have no makers...

 

tears poured down the faces. 

of why ?

which ...made all the paint run together. 

it made no sense or cents...

until the rabbit died.

 

young masterpieces in the making...

 

crushed ... between the sixth and eigth week.

the eleventh hour never came.

 

labeled not viable.

under the auspice of the right to choose.

 

WHOSE ?

 

Masterpieces in the making...

 

tomorrows ...murdered by things that happened yesterday.

1000 excuses and reasons rearranged.

 

today should be ashamed...

My only comment is this: Wow. The emotion I felt in this work (at least the emotion it caused in me) was very powerful and your use of flow and words was very inspiring and unique. The singular questions like Why and Whose increased emotion and distress. Very good read.

Amazing words about what could have been, what we are missing by allowing this sickening practice to exist. The "1000 excuses and reasons rearranged" to me, at least, represents the tired arguments about body freedom.

Poets are always society’s conscience and show willingness to speak out when others don’t. The irony you speak of echoes around the world.....I was shocked a while ago when some Chinese official bragged that their historic one-child policy protected the environment.....the reason is the shocker - X million people not born = tons of carbon dioxide not exhaled = a better environment. Human life, reduced to a formula......

A hard topic. I'm old now and I have three grandchildren. I gave my daughters a place to be safe alone or with child. Today I know. Every child is meaningful. In my lifetime. I saw terrible things. Places where life had no value. I know. Every child is needed and the child lost. Could of been the one to save us all.

I so agree. The choice of life is always to live. Everything fights to live. But some never stand a chance.

I find it so disturbing...we send troops by the thousands to defend rights of other countries overseas...we boycott products...and demonstrate...march and circulate petitions...
to defend the persecuted..the defenseless...but have no problem murdering the most defenseless of all.
