The Kiss

The Kiss

A Poem by J Carly
"

written in your honor, my dark friend...I hope my words do not disappoint. ;)

"

In the stillness

Of shadows, he waits

In ravenous anticipation

The arrival

Of his rose, so pure

His first bite

 Brings the metallic taste

 Of sweet freedom

To his hungry lips

A release

 Brought forth by the prowess

Of his silver tongue

Her moans, but a whimper

The last drop, spent

Her body lay pale

And lifeless; her fate,

Now sealed with a kiss

this is not a feeble attempt, not in the slightest. I adore the magic your words have woven through this amazing piece. The reader can sense the dark romanticism dripping not only from the tip of your pen but you dazzling minds eye as well, and...well as you well know...dark romanticism is very close to my heart. I truly loved this piece, my friend, and I shall add it to my library, for the place is a dull cell without it.

~Till the shadows depart, my friend; kiss the winds breath.

Great writing of darkness. Like the reference of the rose. The victim is his beautiful and sweet symbol of life and he then gives them death. Wonderful writing. Skillful and high impact in so few lines. Great job.
