Thread-turned top

Thread-turned top

A Poem by J.A.Bentley
"

This poem reflects the truths, aspirations, and hopes I have for the future. This wasn't written with any specific design just I jotted down what came to mind.

"
Digging behind the picture frame
to find the switch for this light
As the sparrow finds his notes
to harken the dawn and to dim the night.

Then morning shoots from every pore
every breath, every new step
to swing wide a closed door
that holds every secret I've ever kept.

So like a spindle, the thread-turned top
I'm on a everlasting string
that hums, whirs, and sings
that God keeps pulling so I'll never stop

Grab my spare hand, it's here open
hold on tight as we spin
in God's eternal motion
where every day, we begin again.

Very well written! :D I loved its meaning and the sense it gave you that if you read into it more you could find even more deeper meanings, the only problem was there was a lack of flow, each stanza seemed to have its own different form, but other than that it was very well done! :)
