It was in the aftermath
of all the lights and shimmer that my eyes grew dimmer. You were but now a blur no more to be seen or heard a brushstroke upon the earth. Can I say that we'll see again? Is it within my power to do so as if yelling out loud could calm the wind? I'm here in the aftermath. Of all that has passed. As my eyes regain their sight.
