Duality in Divine Tools

Duality in Divine Tools

A Poem by J.A.Bentley
"

Two sides to every coin, or is it three?

"

The mind, how interesting a tool!

The engine set for destruction

or to make wise the fool!

The heart how variably it thrives

subsisting on all that is shallow and evil

or the deepest love and brightest heights!

Oh Death! In you deception lives

the only way into Christ and brighter life

or, against that, the now and future end!

Oh the fall! What an event

God's sweet mercy and act of love

or the end for us and damning to descent!

You see...even death is a tool for us Christians

the fall...our chance of salvation

and our dying body...once fully dead in all meanings of the word, truly lives in the end.
