The castle of fear

The castle of fear

A Poem by J.A.Bentley
"

Get up, just rise!

"
If you stop to create a person, place or thing,
on the edge of something less formless
on the brink of substance
then why undermine the mind
and the ageless wings of wonder
to stoop for the words of another one
to perhaps describe your descriptions
Could the past ever describe your future, your present?
Could your soul be bound by the beauty of yester years?
It could, and most likely is,
the pain of all the perhaps
stop you from what could be
and you never ever ever ever risk
the fragile, and free heartbeat.
Speak tenderly on the wind
draw out these moments
so where your blink can take ages
and ages to read a page
the slow timeless travel from A to B
from your hands to your feet
as you realize that she was looking at you.
Knowing all your past failures,
yet nothing she knows about,
all she knows is hope
the dream of something,
something exciting and bold!
You hang your head,
the thoughts the what-ifs!
Could you communicate your worries, your fears?
What faith could she have in you then...
So cross your heart
unfold your hands
and face her future,
to create yours
and enjoy her as her man.

Those words were an amazing flow of courage! Much Enjoyed!
I really loved all the thoughts, questions and ponderings that were woven into the weave of ink.
