Prayerful MutteringsA Chapter by J Todd UnderhillIn the abandoned asylum; The air is so cold I am numb. The moon’s rays are the only light, Oh Lord please protect me this night. Hearing voices when all alone, I journey into the unknown. This prayer to you I now recite, Oh Lord please protect me this night. This asylum long forgotten; With the doctor beyond rotten. History I cannot rewrite, Oh Lord please protect me this night. The stories that were shared before I see his name upon the door And my fear has been set alight Oh Lord please protect me this night Now have I really lost my mind, Seek not or maybe you shall find. Embrace me with you blinding light, Oh Lord please protect me this night. Stepping forward into the room, Now such a long forgotten tomb. Fighting my spirits need for flight, Oh Lord please protect me this night. © 2011 J Todd UnderhillFeatured Review
