Sonnet in memory of LMSA Poem by J Todd Underhill01/06/2025I know you are watching from above. Grinning at times when the Beach Boys play. Showering us all with heavenly love, Fourteen years ago, this very day.
Holding those that are planned to arrive; Controlling the radio most of the time. Watching over poetic goals to which I strive, Maneuvering luck when the schedule is prime.
I know you smile and my unmitigated gall, Though I am unsure if you are proud. Speaking my words without a care at all, Whether in hushed tones or screamed aloud.
Your presence here is wholeheartedly missed, Though I feel your energy still doth exist.
