Fourteen year Anniversary

 

 

Well Happy Birthday or Anniversary of sorts.

Fourteen years ago, I joined Writer’s Café.

Poems filled with pride and remorse,

Or whatever my twisted mind might say.

 

I just wanted to pen some lines;

To mark this occasion since I noticed.

Without restriction of poetic confines,

But that would leave this seem unfocused.

 

So, I pray I get fourteen more years;

Writing my lines for all the world to see.

But I’ll share this secret through my tears,

I really only write for me.

 

Unleashing the thoughts inside of me;

A sort of self-prescribed therapy
