First Poem of 2025

No late night logged last night,

No hangover for me this morning.

This poet is rested and bright,

And my muse is also preforming.

 

A new year and same old poet indeed,

However, a newfound dedication to my craft.

More of my insane writes to be freed,

Silencing those that sat back and laughed.

 

Let’s make this year the best ever,

And the most productive year too.

Unleash the writes dark or clever,

Whatever the muse gives to you.

 

For those haters who think I’m a poetic jerk,

All I say is, sit back, relax and watch me work.
