![]() My Comedy and Tragedy MasksA Poem by J Todd Underhill![]() 12/28/2024![]() The Pendulum swings and I try to dodge, While dragging my personal ball and chain. So many complaints my family has lodged, He is not a poet, He is insane.
My mind is a force I cannot control, I am tossed by the tide again and again. With my two sides locked in a Super Bowl, In a game that I feel no one can win.
I lay in my bed and think at night, Why I can’t maintain like a normal guy. Then I get up like now, I smoke and write, An endless cycle and I don’t know why.
So, I gladly embrace my gift and curse, And I log my life out in line and verse.
